KATH: EIB pays ‘burnt’ baby’s GH¢11, 500 debt

Staff of EIB Network has today August 25, 2017 paid bills of one -and half- baby Stephen Otchere who was detained by the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The unemployed mother of the boy, Agnes Nkrumah couldn’t go home after ‘they’ were discharged by the hospital due to financial constriants.

The baby got burnt when the mother was boiling water which accidentally poured on him, peeling off his body.

Host of one of EIB’s brands, Kasapa Adepa Nkye Morning Show, Fiifi Banson with a team from Accra joined Ultimate FM and Abusua FM donated the money to the mother after raising funds on the Show.

The donation comes after Abusua Dawuro’s Derrick Opoku Agyemang on Wednesday August 24, 2017 filed the story and published first on Ultimatefmonline.com, followed by other EIB media outlets.

Other executives of EIB who witnessed the donation include: Business Manager of Ultimate FM, Patrick Asamoah, Kasapa FM’s DJ Nyami and others.

Parents of the boy as at Thursday August 24, 2016 owed KATH GH¢10,181.00 expressed appreciation to EIB for the gesture.
