C/R: Police to face off with robbers at Kasoa

The Central regional police command has deployed a crack team of weapon experts to face off with armed robbers and other criminals who are terrorising residents of Kasoa in the region.

The move according to the command is urgent and necessary as the command cannot look on unconcerned for lives to be maimed and lost each day in the area by criminals.

The area according to the central regional police commander COP Rev David Nenyi Ampah Bennin has recorded a minimum of 12 robbery attacks in the last 8 months aside other dangerous crimes like theft and drug peddling being perpetuated in the area making the area unsafe for habitation.

Speaking at the launch of “Operation Hard Hit” at Kasoa, COP Rev. Ampah Benin explained that Commanders from across the region and other weapon experts and strategists have been assembled from Accra to help in flash out the criminals from Kasoa and its enclave.

He assured the people in the area to calm down as the police will not sit aloof down for more lives to be attacked.

The exercise, he added will even go beyond the Christmas celebration to bringing lasting security to the area.
