Chief Justice bemoans indiscipline among lawyers as she charges new ones

The Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, Justice Sophia Akuffo has bemoaned the high level of indiscipline amongst lawyers in Ghana describing it alarming and disappointing.

She charged the newly enrolled lawyers to eschew indiscipline.

Addressing 208 newly enrolled lawyers to the Ghanaian BAR and their families at the enrollment ceremony held at the banquet hall of the State House, Chief Justice Akuffo says the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council is overwhelmed by the several misconduct complaints against lawyers.
She charged the newly enrolled lawyers to uphold all the rules governing the Profession they have chosen and to at all times observe them.
