There are two kinds of pride, good and bad. ‘Good pride’ represents our dignity and self-respect. ‘Bad pride’ is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance.

On any day, I will choose humility over pride, because Pride makes us artificial and humility makes us real. A man’s pride can be his downfall, and he needs to learn when to turn to others for support and guidance, but what do we see most times? Ego!

It’s easy to forget, as a leader, that when employees don’t get the wide view, not only does the point of their work escape them, but it can also lead to real frustration. It’s hard to feel pride and ownership when you don’t understand where things are going. Who suffers?

Pride!! It slays their thanksgiving, but a humble mind is the soil out of which thanks naturally grow.
Once you reach the top, take care as the only way left to go is down.
Pride is pleasure arising from a man’s thinking too highly of himself.

Pride has kept many people from accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. Admitting sin and acknowledging that in our own strength we can do nothing to inherit eternal life is a constant stumbling block for prideful people. We are not to boast about ourselves, if we want to boast, then we are to proclaim the glories of God. What we say about ourselves means nothing in God’s work. It is what God says about us that makes the difference (2 Corinthians 10:18).

In every day life some people inwardly direct emotion that can easily offend others and carries with it a connotation that displays an inflated sense of one’s own worth or personal status and typically makes one feel a sense of superiority over others and can easily make someone look condescendingly at others. PRIDE!!

Pride is giving ourselves the credit for something that God has accomplished. Pride is taking the glory that belongs to God alone and keeping it for ourselves. Pride is essentially self-worship. Anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for God enabling and sustaining us.

“What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?” (1 Corinthians 4:7). That is why we give God the glory, He alone deserves it.

Conceit, egotism, vanity, vain glory, all over one’s own appearance or status in life and not just something that’s been accomplished. Pride must die in you, or nothing of heaven can live in you.

There’s a saying that “If you can’t stop thinking about a person don’t let them slip away”. But what causes us to let people we love go? PRIDE!
Pride is a relationship murder. Is quite surprising when people say they can think of a person all day and you still wouldn’t hear from them. Put that pride to the side or end up being the side chick. How do you feel about Pride, have you ever had it end a relationship, and how did you deal with it? Oh and how has it changed future and current relationships? The mother of arrogance.. PRIDE!

Most people find it difficult relating to people all in the name of what I call the “Pride in you”. Why walk about like you don’t need anybody to compliment your life?

The other day a boss sanctioned a subordinate for insubordination and instead of him (i.e subordinate) to go and apologise inorder to retain that job, what did he do? Went home expecting the boss to come to him or call him back. Buddy come down and let go off the pride in you.

That elderly person knowing very well of the wrong done must apologise to that young person and stop that pride he is exhibiting all in the name of “Panin de Panin”. The young boss is the owner of the job so stop being bossy and apply that dream job.

Marriages are breaking because the man is the head. You are the head so whatever you say must be final right? Let freedom and peace reign in that house! This same man who was once the richest in the society now has to go for help from those he helped but burying his pride is what’s eating him up therefore not knowing how to pick back.

Most Pastors will never avail themselves to be advised by church leaders. All he says is “I’m the head Pastor take it or leave it!, God called me and not you!” Man of God, souls are being lost so please shine those eyes and bury that Pride for the church is the Lord’s and not yours!

Someone’s children have gone astray and are going astray in the name of “I’m capable of taking care of kids”, meanwhile, that brother or sister of yours has the means of helping them build up on that career ladder. WHY ARE U STOPPING IT? BURY THAT PRIDE!

Through pride we are ever deceiving ourselves. But deep down below the surface of the average conscience a still, small voice says to us, something is out of tune.

Pride is the mask of one’s own faults.
LET’S UNMASK IT NOW!! Onipa Ns3 hwee.
