About twenty two thousand students of Agric Training Colleges in Ghana are picketing at the Ministry of Agric in Accra over the restoration of allowances.
According to the students, the Akufo-Addo’s government has reneged on its promise of restoring their allowances.
Their move comes on the back of the restoration of nurses and midwives allowances on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at Sunyani-Brong Ahafo by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Students of the Kwadaso Agric Training College in Kumasi on Tuesday demonstrated kicking against government’s move not to restore their allowances, blaming government of being selective.
The student-nurses allowance was cancelled by the erstwhile Mahama administration in 2014.
The students said they will later present a petition to the Agric Minister.
