Expats Extortion: Committee starts public sitting today

The five-member Parliamentary ad-hoc committee set up to investigate monies extorted from some business moguls during Ghana Expatriates Business Awards to sit close to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will start its public sitting today (Thursday) January 11, 2018.

The move to embark on a public sitting by the bi-partisan committee was upon a request  by the Minority in Parliament after an emergency meeting when the House was on recess.

Some of the people expected to be interrogated include: Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen, his deputies, some of the expatriates, Okudzeto Ablakwa MP for North Tongu and others.
