Six bedroom apartment has been gutted by fire at Pankrono-Estate in Kumasi of the Ashanti Region.
The fire destroyed all the properties in the house worth billions of cedis.
According to the tenants, the fire started from one bedroom around 6am on Saturday January 13, 2017 and quickly spread to the other apartments.
The tenants speaking to Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo blamed two children in the house for causing the inferno, saying the lighted matches they were playing with in their father’s bedroom sparked the fire.
The tenants further put the blame on fire service personnel saying that if they had arrived in good time the situation would have been brought under control.
“The fire started around 6am today and we called fire service but they refused to respond to our calls. We did our best to control the fire but the situation got out of hands. The fire service arrived 8am but all our properties have been destroyed,” they complained.
