A/R: Cadet appreciates Manhyia for honour of service

The Ashanti Regional Cadet Corps Headquarters has extended an appreciation to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Manhiya Palace for recognizing its contributions to the successful organisation of the final funeral ceremony of the late Asantehemaa Nana Afia Serwaa Kobi Ampem II.

During the funeral, the Cadet Corps deployed twenty (20) Cadet Officers and five hundred (500) student cadets to the various duties of directing traffic, coordinating parking lots, offering security to chiefs and attendants at various vantage points, packing and erecting of canopies and chairs, waiting tables etc.

The cadet also staged a guard of honour parade at a ceremony held by the palace to honour all corporate institutions and individuals who contributed in cash and kind to the epic event.

Manhyia at this event bestowed honours of contribution and service to the palace on the Cadet corp in recognition of their efforts.

In a statement signed by the Ashanti Regional Cadet Coordinator Gideon Obeng, the cadet indicated that it is encouraged by the gesture from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to continue inculcating the spirit of volunteerism and service to the nation in all Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and Fire Cadets in schools under their watch.
