The Ghana football association has announced some major appointment of coaches for the various national teams.
The first appointment is former Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh has been appointed the head coach of their female senior national team, the Black Queens.
He will be assisted by current interim coach of the side Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo, a former Black Queens player as well as a former referee.
The appointment of Sellas Tetteh became necessary following the departure of Coach Didi Dramani to Denmark.
The second appointment is Abdul Karim Zito who has been named the head coach of Ghana’s U17 male national team, the Black Starlets.
The celebrated coach whose experience cannot be underestimated will be assisted by former Hearts of Oak trainer Yaw Preko.
Zito who has coached both Kotoko and Hearts before is expected to employ his experience and knowledge to help unearth talent and nurture them for the future.
He takes over from Paa Kwesi Fabin who guided the side to win Silver at the 2017 U17 AFCON and also got to the quarter finals of the FIFA U17 World Cup.
Until Zito’s appointment, he was the head coach of Ghana’s U20 side – The Black Meteors.
Meanwhile former Wa All Stars and Inter Allies trainer Jimmy Cobblah has been named the head coach of Ghana’s U20 male national team, the Black Satellites.
