The Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council (ARSRC) has honoured Ibrahim Manaf at a colourful ceremony held at the auditorium of the Kumasi Technical Institute.
The programme was part of the activities of the Opening Ceremony of the 21st Annual Students Week Celebration of the Ashanti Regional Students Representative Council.
The Regional Patron of the ARSRC, Col. Amadu Mahama presented the award to Hon. Manaf Ibrahim in front of hundreds of students gathered at the auditorium.
Ibrahim Manaf rose through the ranks of the Regional Council serving in various capacities during his days as a student of Tweneboah Kodua.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Association of Past Executives and Coordinators, the Council’s advisory body.
Before his election as the Chairman, he served as the Organizer and Secretary of the advisory body as well.
The very dynamic and astute grassroot politician contested for the primaries of the NPP at the Asawasi Constituency.
He was one of the aides to the current Vice President of the nation Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia prior to the 2016 elections and currently works at the seat of government Flagstaff House as the Head of Political Desk.
Manaf Ibrahim continues to offer support and advice to the Regional Council till date and has mentored many student leaders across the Region in various capacities.
Present at the ceremony were the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Bagbin, CEO of NEIP, Lawyer John Kumah, some Heads of institutions, among others.
The ARSRC congratulated Hon. Manaf Ibrahim for the Award and wished him well in his future endeavours.
