No media house in Yendi is a sorry state -Yendi MCE

The people of Yendi in the Northern Region are seeking an opportunity to retell their story and remove the label of violence that has negatively tagged the vibrant traditional nerve Centre.

Addressing the Starr Woman Dream Edition Project Team during a courtesy call, the Yendi Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Hammed Abubakar Yussuf made a passionate appeal for Yendi to be supported to have radio and tv operations in the municipality to end years of media black-out.

He was excited about the STARR WOMAN DREAM EDITION PROJECT in Yendi and hopeful it will kickstart the rebranding of the Yendi.

He pledged his total support for the project and lauded the EIB Network for taking on a daring yet noble ambition of promoting disability rights among young women entrepreneurs.

Starr Woman Dream Edition, a Starr Fm initiative powered by the EIB Network’s platforms and affiliates stations, is a national advocacy project funded by Star Ghana – championing inclusive entrepreneurship drive focusing on young women entrepreneurs with disabilities.

The project train is currently in the Yendi Municipality staging a grand stakeholders forum and entrepreneurship mentoring clinic to address limitations to entrepreneurship dreams Of young people with disabilities.
