Arrest insecurity issues within 2 weeks – Interior committee to IGP

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) David Asante-Appeatu has been given a 2 week ultimatum to arrest the insecurity issues in the country.

The ultimatum was announced after the IGP, Interior Minister, Defence and interior committee of Parliament, National security minister met on recent security happenings.

The Interior Committee of Parliament which issued the ultimatum believes crime knows no political colours and that armed robbery activities need to be curbed to ease the tension in the country.

The country has recorded spate of robberies with the recent one being a Lebanese man who was killed after withdrawing some money from the bank.
