Home Default Court orders Ridge Hospital to produce Obengfo Hospital director
The Circuit Court in Accra has granted an order from the prosecution to be directed at the Medical Director of the Accra Regional Hospital, formerly (Ridge Hospital) to produce the embattled Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh.
Dr Obeng-Andoh has been charged with murder for the death of deputy CEO of National Entrepreneurship Innovative Programme Stacy Offei Darko together with one other who is facing charge of impersonation.
Both have been remanded in police custody, but Dr Obeng Andoh’s deteriorating health condition has resulted in his admission at the Ridge Hospital.
In court today, Dr Obeng-Andoh is facing two seperate charges to wits “practicing medicine without lawful authority and operating unlicensed health facility.”
When the case was called before Her Honour Mrs Janet Naa Adjeley Quaye, the hospital in a letter titled to ‘Whom its May Concern’ said the accused could not be released to appear in court without the assistance of a physician.
Prosecution lead by DSP Stephen Kwame Adjei prayed the court for an order directed at the Medical Director of the Hospital through the administrator to produce the accused at the next adjourned date.
Daily Heritage’s Court Correspondent Muntalla Inusah who was in court reports that the sitting judge Mrs Adjeley Quaye granted the application and adjourned the matter to Friday, June 8.
