Some security capos in the Ashanti region have allegedly beaten to pulp a social media commentator Kwabena Nsafoa for holding a placard with the inscription ‘fix Kumasi roads’.
His other placard read: ‘sanitation’.
Nsafoa who seems worried about the poor road network in the Ashanti region held a placard at the entrance of the Kumasi Airport.
He wanted to draw the attention of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who was scheduled to cut a sod for the construction of the second phase of the Kumasi Airport.
Majority of residents have complained vehemently about the poor roads in the Kumasi metropolis asking why they have been neglected after voting massivley for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
But the angry police upon seeing the placard held Nsafoa’s shorts, whisked him away and beat him to pulp for attempting to disgrace the President.
A lady whose name is unknown also had her fair share of the beatings.
Nsafoa who was detained at the Zongo police station, was later released.
Confirming his beatings to Ulimatefmonline.com, Nsafoa said he will treat his bruises without making any police complaint.
Last week, a similar incident happened where a man held a placard protesting for the opening of the University of Ghana Medical center where the first lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo was addressing the audience.
